Best message I've heard all day. Kindness is contagious. When someone is kind to me, it is so rare that it catches me off guard. Which is sad. Thanks for your authenticity.
Absolutely!! Right there with you. I love this quote from Bradley Millar: "Teaching a child not to step on a caterpillar is as valuable to the child as to the caterpillar."
Emotional Intelligence, including kindness, is like a muscle that needs to be exercised regularly to stay strong. HUGS!
I’m a huge fan of pay it forward when it comes to kindness. I like to believe my acts of kindness towards others will be passed along. I really hope that modeling this behavior encourages people to do the same. I must admit right now I’m having a hard time feeling kind amidst my bitter disappointment. Eventually my grief will transition and I will again feel like my old self. To that end I have been infusing my days with winter and holiday themed books, music and crafts in the hopes I can distract myself with joy. May all of you find some peace and comfort in this cozy time of year.
Sometimes I find the kindest thing to do is just to notice and acknowledge another person, saying please and thank you, smiling at a stranger, letting the other driver cross the intersection before you.
Every day. My life long approach has been the practice of these words: "Let everyone with whom I come in contact understand they are valid, valuable and loved." A simple touch on the arm while chatting with a lady in the market can convey much.
Admittedly, it's a little tougher going at the moment given I know pretty much how the people in my community voted, but I've still managed a smile and polite greeting.

Kindness seems to be in short supply these days. Here’s to bringing it back!
Cheers! *clank of champagne glass*

Great quote! I fully concur!
I think a better place to hang out for sure.
I simply cannot fathom another 4 DJT years like the previous 4 were.
I don’t have the energy for all of that anger, fear and despair.
I’m working hard to choose different.
It’s hard to stay diligent and stay kind, but it is possible. I will not let them steal my joy or make me into them.
Amen. So be it. Ameen.
For all of us!
Love me some Dali Lama!
Me too, sister!

Hang in there and take care of you, friend. These are challenging times. A little hygge is good for the soul.
Kindness is a chain, and in small acts of kindness we become the links.

Small kindnesses have big impact. I’m a believer and practicer. ❤️
Oh yes!

It will be small acts of kindness that sustain us in the days to come.
