Oh Margot, I feel for your struggles with your health. I had no idea the Amish were abusing the air and land so radically. Eye opening information for me!

My hope is that you can find a solution to your living situation in another area with cleaner air.

In a side note, I have become aware of so many artists suffering from breathing disorders, autoimmune diseases, and other chronic illnesses. Of course, not just limited to artists, it’s just that by following so many I learn about their lives and struggles.

The commonality points to our water, air and land.

Our poor planet is making us sick because it’s been poisoned. 🤢

I feel you, I have been tested for allergies and am allergic to everything including a lotof medications. I have asthma and mild COPD, and most of the inhalers to treat these, have made me so sick I felt it would be better to just die. So I pray for you, your environment is bad no matter where you are because every where you go there are bad things in the air...BIG HUGS ❤️❤️

I’m so sorry, Bobbie! Asthma, allergies, and COPD are a lot to navigate. I can’t take steroids, so I use DuoNeb for breathing and it helps. It is true about the air, but I do breathe much better when I am not in this area. Cleaner air would help a little and at least help keep me from getting worse, but it isn’t possible right now. We just keep on keeping on!

I mostly just want people to know about farming and the damage it does to the environment and living creatures.

I know the damage it can do and will continue to do, unless they all go organic. I sure wish you were in a better area, so you could breath freely!! I worked for a farm coop, that's bad stuff they use

Oh, Margot. You need to get out of there. But you know that.

Have you seen “The Biggest Little Farm?” If not rent it right away. It will give you hope: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfDTM4JxHl8

This interview with the founders is also interesting and inspiring: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRBoXE3pw80

I ask myself many of the same questions you raised here daily and can only say I hold onto good. I talk about all that a lot so I assume you don’t want me to reiterate.

Please hold on. The world is a better place because you are here.

I have seen that! There are lots of good farmers out there, but not here unfortunately.

I wish we could get to better air, but it isn’t possible at this time for multiple reasons. So I turn up the air scrubbers and carry on. I have never and never will give up hope. Thank you for bringing your light to this weary world, my friend! ❤️

At least it’s pretty here, I just wish the air wasn’t making me sick. My concern is what the dismantling of our regulatory agencies means for everyone in the future.

One of my besties lives near Allegan and the air was one of the reasons he moved there. I am looking at New England to stay closer to my daughter.
