Things Have Evolved!
Fantastic birds are on the move, pulling threads, exposing the deeper truths

As you can see, things have evolved since yesterday. There were aspects I felt were working and other aspects I didn’t feel were serving the concept. I decided to extract what worked and add more layers.
I tend to be a roll up my sleeves and dig in kind of artist. I have a plan, but it’s flexible. I let the materials and my intuition guide me. Sometimes that works out for me, and sometimes maybe not as much. I’m learning a lot from this process. It is unfolding in a way that is working for me and the messages I want these pieces to impart. This is called Pulling the Threads. It isn’t finished yet but it’s getting closer! I’m thinking of turning it into a 3-D piece using a shadow box. I may add some splatter back to the bottom left third. I’m still working out those details. The subject matter is disturbing, but I want to offer a bit of hope. In pulling the threads and exposing that which is hidden we find pathways out of the darkness into the light.
Fantastic birds are tenacious and determined. They do not hide from difficult things. They know that doing nothing in the face of atrocities is complicity. Evil things happen when people avert their gaze.
Keep pulling the threads until the evil unravels. Make space for the good to return.
