The Utter Absurdity of the Kakistocracy

Hello, Friend,

As I continue to ponder this extraordinary moment in which we find ourselves, I keep trying to understand the end game, the denouement, the grand finale, the master plan for what happens after the leopards catch the bus.

I keep coming around to these questions:

With Melon Husk and his team of teenaged mutant turd burglars rummaging willy-nilly through our nation’s fuzzy underbrush, it’s clear they intend to destroy it all. Then what? Breaking things is easy, rebuilding from the ashes on the scale of this country is unfathomably expensive and highly improbable. The broligarchs may have vague notions of fiefdom style corporate surveillance states led by the CEO/Kings of their Dark Enlightenment, but how are they organized and financed, what do the people who live in them do, how do these nation states function, exactly?

(On a tangential note: If the folks who created Project 2025 get their way and tear it all down to rebuild some sort of oppressive Christo-fascist society, how does that work, exactly? What happens in 2026, where’s the Project for that? How many of us will they have to ‘remove’ to whittle it down to the few who would be willing to inhabit Jesus Camp the Nation? How is that sustainable from an economic or social standpoint? How do they think people will be able to care for the babies they’re demanding, especially if women are unable to work. Do they have concepts of a plan or concepts of a concept or are they going with thoughts and prayers on that front?)

Which dystopian future are we looking at here? Hunger Games? The Terminator? 1984? Brave New World? Handmaid’s Tale? The Matrix?

The Jetsons?

The Tech Bros have tried but not yet shown any real proclivity for manifesting their NRx fantasies. Their attempts at smaller versions of their technocratic states have failed to thrive.

Are destruction, delusion, and denial meaningful pursuits if the result is a wasteland even they can’t escape because their bunkers and seascapes and fiefdoms and fantasies of viable life on Mars aren’t quite ready for primetime?

How will the Tech Bros stay rich if there is no one to buy their products or use their social media platforms or pay for their services? If the rest of us are so destitute that we can't buy food or pay for housing, we surely won't be able to afford new cell phones, cell phone service, computers, internet connection, Smart TVs, or streaming services.

What information will they sell and to whom if there are no more users to data mine and manipulate through social media? If we’re no longer able to consume their microtargeted propaganda, how will they keep us misinformed? Will they send Tesla trucks with loud speakers or shower us with vaguely threatening paper missives or unleash armed robodogs with singing nastygrams?

How will these myopic overlords stay alive if infectious diseases remain unchecked and begin to flourish, killing millions of people and the doctors and medical professionals who would be on the front lines of those events? If the experts die, who will take care of the Bros? If there are mass casualties, what will they do with the bodies? Cart them off in wheelbarrows like a Monty Python sketch? Dig catacombs to house the stacks and stacks and stacks of bones like the Parisians did during the plague? Who will push the wheelbarrows? Who will dig the catacombs? Where will they dig them? Who will stack the bones? Or maybe turn them into biodiesel like Yarvin postulated. Who will turn on the switch and process the goo and who will need this biodiesel if most of us are dead?

If the economy crashes, which it most definitely will, there will be no more tax revenue for them to stuff into their pockets. There will be no food to buy or places to go or things to do in their dystopian future. We don’t live in a feudal society, the society in which we live is far too complex to slip comfortably into a centuries old medieval model. Hundreds of millions of people will not go gentle. How will they control them? How will the 8 million dollar a day man survive if no one can afford to pay the taxes he siphons into his coffers?

Is America another Twitter for him to destroy just for kicks?

Sure looks like it.

Why take a thriving economy, an educated populace, a robust society, a world filled with possibility, beauty, and wonder, and crash it all into the ground? To what end?

Why turn productive citizens into impoverished slave labor? Slave labor for what? Who will buy the fruits of this labor? Hybrid humanoids programmed with malfunctioning Neurolink chips? Will they function better than Teslas?

I highly doubt it.

None of this makes any sense. It is nonsensical. It’s absurdity. It’s folly. It’s Austin Powers without the humor. It’s a Florida Man’s dinner theater production of Waiting for Godot starring Zachary Levi and Scott Baio. A lot of standing around mumbling while waiting for something to happen.

It’s all prologue and no purpose.

If these people are such unparalleled geniuses, what is their plan? When they sit around in dark bars sniffing each others farts and sipping single malt, do they consider even for a moment the complexities of the hows and the whys and the whats of their melancholic machinations?

They claim to want it all and they seem determined to take it and burn it all down to the ground behind them once they do. What happens after they get it?

What will they get?

What joy will they find in the ashes?

Who will they grift if there's no one left to grift?

This is the stupidest timeline being manifested by the pseudo-intellectuals, religious extremists, white nationalists, and mafioso wannabes of the kakistocracy. It’s tragicomical with emphasis on tragic. Somehow we’ve regressed from The Worst Circus Ever to a run down carnival operated by creepy freaks and evil geeks cosplaying as Nazis for shits and giggles.

They have no empathy, compassion, creativity, capacity for complex thought…but most of all…they have no plan.

Are we really just going to scroll our future away and do nothing to stop them? Seriously? There are millions of us, what are we doing here, people? Our hope cannot rest on their ineptitude, because that is a fragile hope at best.

They may not have a plan, but we sure as shit need one. Why don’t we gather the experts they’re discarding and get to work on that ASAP? We have a country (and an entire planet) to save, and they don’t even have a clue.
