The Lady Party with Special Guest Stephen Brown
A Sparkling Conversation with the Incomparable Impresario of Glitterville Studios
Hello, Friend,
Welcome to The Lady Party podcast, a sub-Substack of The Lady Party with Margot Potter. Just a reminder, you have total control over what arrives in your inbox, and you can go into your settings to opt in or out of the three categories of content here.
I’m re-launching The Lady Party Podcast with an episode every Friday starting with the first season from 2019 followed by brand new interviews later this year! There will be significant improvements to the sound moving forward, this first season was video taped via Zoom during the early days of the pandemic. Substack can’t host these longer form videos, so I’ve turned them into audio to share here. The video episodes are no longer available elsewhere since I became a social media refugee, but these exceptional people and their fascinating stories are well worth a listen. Stay tuned for Season Two, coming early this summer.
I thought today, being a holiday, it’d be fun to take a break from the constant chaos to re-visit with my dear friend, the incomparable impresario of Glitterville Studios, Stephen Brown. Stephen’s mantra is “Everyday’s a Holiday!” We talk about his journey from acting and costume design to building a multi-faceted multi-million dollar giftware company and that time he got stuck on a glacier while styling a cover shoot for O Magazine. Since this interview, Stephen and his team of elves decorated the Biden White House for Christmas in 2024, and it was absolutely magical.

I hope this conversation brings a much needed little touch of sparkle into these not so sparkly times. Big love to Stephen Brown and to you, my friend. You make this party worth throwing!

It takes copious amounts of moxie, chutzpah, and caffeine to make this Lady Party, maybe buy the lady a cup of coffee!
