Wake Up America, We Have a Future to Save!

With yesterday’s deeply disturbing vote in the House of Representatives to allow our government to “deport” American citizens, it is time for every one who values freedom, justice, and liberty to stand up and speak out! They are parsing language, you can’t deport a citizen, they are kidnapping people and holding them hostage or exiling them. This is a blatant defiance of our Constitutional rights. The Republican party is all in with the autocracy, and it’s time they are removed from office and shamed into the dust bin of history. They want to erase the progress of the past 125 years, erase civil rights, erase worker’s rights, erase women’s rights, erase voting rights, erase property rights, erase social services, erase history, and erase human rights. They intend to steal every ounce of hard won freedom, turn us into modern vassals and serfs, allow the weak and the elderly to starve or die from preventable diseases, and drag the rest of us back to some technofascist version of the Gilded Age of the Robber Barons, a time of vast inequality, low opportunity, short miserable lives, and widespread poverty and disease. They want us to have nothing while they get everything. Well, at least our kids might have two dolls, instead of thirty.

Their kids will have the rest.

But only if we let them take the American Dream and flush it down a gold electroplated toilet. Not on my watch, friend.

I’m living for that glorious day when we send this shit show straight to the sewers where it belongs and reclaim the future. That day will only come when every citizen who gives a damn raises their voice and shouts, “NO!”

No one is coming to save us, stop waiting for the cavalry.

We are the change that we seek.

We fought a Mad King and won once, we cannot let a Mad King defeat us now.

Seriously. WTF, America? What’s it going to take for people to give a fart in a windstorm? Will every shelf have to be empty, your bank accounts frozen, your neighbors dragged off in the dead of night by mystery men in black, your land stolen, your rights trampled, and your children’s future destroyed? Because that’s the plan. They didn’t even bother to hide it. They plan to steal it and sell it off for parts. It’s a grift. It’s a con. It’s a cruel, cruel hoax. It’s a game.

No, really, it’s a game where the fix is in while they bet and profiteer on the destruction of our nation. Then they raise a toast and yuck it up in their private clubs at the rubes in red hats who leaped off the cliff yelling ‘MAGA!’ and took the rest of us with them.

We are the many. They are the few. They can only take it if we let them. They can try to crush us, but there are hundreds of millions of us and if we come together and fight the good fight, we can and we will win!
