That looks totally freaking amazing. Our oven broke on Easter just as we were baking Easter dinner (oof) and we have had neither the cash to get the part we need to repair it nor the time to pull it out and actually fix it, but...hopefully before the end of May. In other news, I found a way to bake a giant chocolate chip cookie in one of our cast iron skillets on the stove top and it is now my son's new favorite dessert, so guess I'll be making a lot of skillet cookies until we get the oven fixed. LOL
And yes, I've been mulling over the making of some crochet video tutorials to go on my Substack. I hate making videos. Mostly I just hate appearing on videos because I feel like all anyone sees is just a fat, tired old Commie rambling on about something while the planet burns down, but hey... ;)
First of all, I have seen you on video and you look neither fat nor tired. You know, though, who cares if we are fat and tired and old? What does that matter in the grand cosmic scheme of things? Fuck it! Make videos! People need to know how to make things now more than ever.
The cake looks yummy 😋, I love to make specialty cakes for birthdays 🎂 dont do so many any more, with my hands all bent and achie it's hard. So very glad that you have come out the other side and are doing better, but dont over do, take your time and take it slow, u know that's hard to do, artists got to art!! 🎂😋🐮🦄🎊😴😁💐🐐🦅🕊🗽🍾🌋🍸🍹☕️🥂😎❤️💯💪👍🤙🐕🦮🐕🦺🐩🐰🐇🪺🍓🍒🍑🛼🛹☀️🌞💐🌸🌷🌾🥀 xoxoxo
Icing is challenging for sure, especially with an icing bag. But naked cakes are all the rage these days, so maybe that's a possibility! I can't rush into any of it, but I'm excited to at least feel like it's possible. Love you!
YAAAAAAAY!!!! Isn't it WONDERFUL when you come out the other side!!! Must be the full moon!!! I too have found myself to be REmotivated to teach classes, took the initiative to reconnect to the powers that be and suddenly find myself with 4 major projects!! And this is all since Thursday!!! Whew!! And I was just about ready to put it all away and get into my soaps again (Young and Restless) and eat bonbons until I explode!! But... OH NO... I am back to changing the World!! (ok just the neighborhood, but YEAH!!!) Keep Moving Margot!! You ARE an INSPIRATION!!
I think there's a sea change astrologically speaking, so this is the time to open up to new opportunities! So excited for you on the project front! GO AMY GO!
Well, that explains A LOT!!! Honestly, I had given up on these classes because this is such a NON-ARTS town. They tell me that everyone drives 8 miles away to Greenville for their art-fix. But but but, this is a town of 25,000 and they don't even have one art gallery!! Holy Cow, how can that be??? So I have been loudly whining for about a year about this condition and unfortunately, I have no money to cure the artless disease! Tried teaching classes but it was in a horrible location (indoor playground where the students could see the kids playing on the giant slide) and even went to the city for a location to teach via parks and rec. I was eventually "set aside" and it truly pissed me off!! So, after the recent 8 person walk off the job revolt at the store I work in and a reevaluation of myself in this retail drama, I decided to make another attempt at the parks and rec thingie. And lo and behold, it is all new people (obviously was unaware of their problems) and was met with not only excitement but a request to do FOUR more classes AND develop a full neighborhood Art Show in my neighborhood AND work with the city on creating a Special Arts District for the area!!! Zippety Do Dah!!! When your plate gets FULL it gets OVERFLOWING!!!! Stay tuned....
Yay!! Looks scrumptious, I must say! I'm so impressed by your grit and fortitude, and look forward to more visitations of art, in all its forms, that emanate from your vast store of creativity! Brava!!
My mouth is watering and my heart is so happy to know you are better!
Not all better yet, but much improved and hopefully on the way to recovery! Trying not to overdo it again. ❤️
I think I just gained 5 lbs looking at that picture, lol! 🩷
I gave some away today, or I’d be sorry later. 😂

Oh no! Jennifer! Sorry about the oven.
Skillet cookies sound pretty darn tasty. 😋
